150g Shea butter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
50g Coconut Oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
10g Aloe Vera gel⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5ml Calendula oil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Weigh & measure out each ingredient in a glass bowl. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Gently warm the ingredients in a double boiler or over a bowl of hot water.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whip until everything is well combined.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pour into a clean glass jar & allow to cool.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Use generously on baby's bum.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The first bath.... Such an exciting time but it can be a little overwhelming too.

Here are my tips to creating that perfect baby spa!
I like to wait 7-14 days post birth before bathing to make sure all that wonderful vernix has had time to absorb into baby's skin.
There is no need to use soap as we are not bathing to clean the baby but rather to let them go back to that feeling in the womb, allow them some free weightless movement and create a wonderful bed time routine.
